When you start at THE GYM, your fitness level will improve quickly, usually in the first 30 days. The key to see results is consistency and commitment over time so that’s why we recommend 3 classes per week as a start!
Yes! We provide guidance on eating right or sleeping well which can help maximize energy levels – getting YOU maximum results from your efforts.
Nope! Most of our members start just like you. We assess each new members fitness level. Then our workouts are “universally scaled”, with a different version of each days workout designed for every level. As you level up you can take on more challenging variants of the workout if you desire.

We are locally owned and purpose built to make an impact on the health and happiness in Gahanna and the surrounding area.

You’re not just a number here, everyone knows your name. We’re a community of like-minded people that wants you to show up and supports each other on this journey to live better lives – with no judgement or criticism along the way!

If you’re a beginner and just starting out then 2-4 times per week will be enough to see results and allow you to adjust.

You’ll be sore some days, so allow yourself recovery days between training sessions at first – over the course of the following months work up towards 5 days per week if you want to maximize!

We offer an exciting, challenging and varied programming which will keep it fun! The workouts are published in advance

Some days are more strength focused where will focus on our lifts. Movements like barbell squats, kettlebell swings and occasionally some olympics lifts will be included.

Other days, we may focus more on cardio & conditioning with rowers and bikes. Some days are focused on body weight movements like pushups, sit-ups, and pull-ups. Some days are a mix of everything!

Each class is led by qualified coaches. We always start together with a warm-up designed to activate the muscles being used in the workout.

The coach will brief on the group on the workout, the movements, and the proper form. During the workout, the coach will be guiding and providing instruction.

At the end of class, we will cool down together to accelerate recovery and reduce potential injury.

Health and fitness had been a lifelong journey for Kon. Beginning at around 12 years old, he studied martial arts (Shaolin Kung Fu, Okinawan Karate, American Kickboxing, Muay Thai) throughout his high school years. In his early 20s, Kon discovered the world of bodybuilding and soccer. He played with a men’s open soccer travel team for several years. After taking a hiatus from both sports for a few years, Kon found the sport of triathlon. He has completed dozens of Half Marathons (13.1), Full Marathons (26.2), Half Ironman Triathlons (70.3) and is an Ironman Triathlon (140.6) finisher.

Kon follows a holistic approach to health and fitness. He believes health and fitness is a lifelong journey to achieve a balance between the mind and the body (mental, physical activities, nutrition). He works with each individual client based on their personal goals. Kon has helped hundreds of people of all ages and skill levels to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. He has coached athletes in various sports and clients from 5 to 80+ years old. With almost two decades of experience, Kon has the experience and patience to help anyone achieve their health and fitness goals.

CHRIS MINOR

Chris is a Professional Mixed Martial Artist and Boxer from Grove City, Ohio. He is currently a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Vitor Oliveira with GF Team in Grandview, Ohio. Chris has always had a passion for MMA/Boxing growing up when one day roughly 10 years ago he went into a gym to observe.

Immediately after watching a class he decided that he wanted to pursue the sport. Since 2010 Chris has fought in many BJJ tournaments. He fought at the 2011 Bando Kickboxing tournament and placed second place after 3 fights in one day and shortly after in June 2011 was his first amateur MMA fight where he earned a victory. From then forward he has continued to train 5 times a week or more. Chris is 1-0 as a professional in MMA and he’s 2-1-1 as a professional Boxer. He has taught kids Muay Thai and BJJ classes as well as adult MMA, Boxing and BJJ classes. His love for the sport doesn’t just stop at himself training, he continues to grow as a person all while teaching what he is so passionate about.

She offers personal training and nutritional guidance for all ages. A background in Occupational Therapy makes Renèe an expert in post-orthopedic surgery and/or injury training. She also specializes in speed, strength and agility training for young athletes. Renèe hosts yoga classes at ”The Gym” ranging from joint flexibility to pranayama breathing practices.

Accomplishments include competing twice at the Arnold Classic in “Power X” endurance powerlifting and competing multiple times in obstacle races such as “Spartan Race“, “Savage Race“, and “Mud Ninja.”

Michael Greenhouse

Michael Greenhouse, NSCA, CSCS, is a graduate of the University of Evansville with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Kinesiology. In 2005, the Chicago Cubs drafted Michael as a professional pitcher. He has spent the last 10 years in the fitness industry working with amateur and professional athletes on rehab and program designs. Over the last few years, he has been developing and performing movement patterns to increase functional movement. During that time, he has earned certifications in TRX, Mace Training, Functional Movement Screening, Russian Kettlebell, and Titleist Performance Institute Level 1. HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
